The Palm Jumeirah is the largest artificial island in the shape of a palm tree, often considered the «eighth wonder of the world.» The idea for developing the Persian Gulf waters was conceived by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum of the UAE, and the project was developed by the renowned company Nakheel. This community, covering over 6 square kilometers, extended the city’s coastline by 79 kilometers. The layout of the area was inspired by the shape of a palm tree, dividing it into three clusters: the «Trunk,» the «Crown,» and the «Crescent.» The project can accommodate around 85,000 residents, with properties including villas, townhouses, apartments, and hotel residences. Premium private villas and townhouses are spread across 16 branches of the archipelago, while five-star hotels and residences line the semi-circular group of islands known as the «Crescent.» Each villa in the community features a private water access.
In the main part of the area, you will find shops, business centers, nurseries, restaurants offering diverse cuisines, a swimming pool, natural and protected areas, beach clubs, and spa. The island boasts world-class attractions, including The Lost Chambers Aquarium, Aquaventure Waterpark, The Palm Fountain (the largest musical fountain in the world), and The View at The Palm. There are shopping centers such as Golden Mile Galleria, The Pointe, and Nakheel Mall, which include shops, restaurants, cinemas, children areas, and sports clubs. Two bridges connect the island to Sheikh Zayed Road, providing quick access to key city locations. The excellent transportation links, resort infrastructure, numerous entertainment options, and premium properties make this area an attractive prospect for investors. The average rental yield for studios and 2-bedroom apartments is 6%.
